On Tuesday morning, October 21, 14 members of the Sloan-Hendrix chapter of FFA left campus on their
way to the 81st National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Theme for the convention was “Step Up, Stand Out.”
They were accompanied by Sloan-Hendrix FFA Advisor, Joe Wallis and chaperone John Thomison.  Members attending included: 
Katie Ponder, Amanda Holland, Kara Morris, Autumn Blasingame, Cortney Ragsdale, Catie Wilson,
Micky Jones, Austin Morgan, Eason Dearen, Kyle Sutton, Seth Wells, Ryan Difani, Stetson Wells, and Chad Orrick.

Members attended convention meetings and toured the career fair.  They also visited the National FFA Center. 
Highlights of the trip included a concert by country artist Taylor Swift and a rodeo.  While in Indianapolis, the group
toured the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the RCA dome, home of the Indiana Colts.

The group returned on Friday afternoon, October 24.
