The Sloan-Hendrix FFA show team competed at the 2008 Buffalo Island Livestock Show on April 3 and 4 in Jonesboro.  Those exhibiting cattle included:  Amanda Holland, Reserve Grand Champion Angus heifer and Angus bull; Autumn Blasingame, Grand Champion Charolais heifer; Eason Dearen, Grand Champion Shorthorn bull and Reserve Supreme bull; Deriek Stallings, Grand and Reserve Champion Hereford heifers; and Chase DeJournett, 2nd American Commercial heifer.  Amanda and Autumn placed in the top six in senior showmanship out of a field of 22 showmen.  Kyle Sutton exhibited broilers.  Garret Jessen and Matthew Baldridge exhibited market swine.  Garret placed 1st and 3rd in class 2 and Matthew placed 11th in class 4.  These pigs qualified for the premium sale held on Saturday morning.
