The annual Black and Gold Games were held at Sloan-Hendrix's Bill McCurley Gymnasium on Thursday, October 14.  The desktop publishing classes prepared flyers to decorate the hallways and advertise the event.  Thursday was declared Black and Gold Day at Sloan-Hendrix by the student council, and the student body took the opportunity to show their Greyhound Pride with face painting, car tagging, and wearing the school colors.  The games began at 5:30 with all teams playing.  Although the basketball battles were well fought, Greyhounds emerged victorious in every instance.  The basketball season tip off night was admission free and was made an even more spectacular event by free food  and T-shirts, courtesy of Citizens Bank.  Season passes for one adult and one student were given away in a raffle.  The Black and Gold Games are a long standing tradition for Sloan-Hendrix and are sure to herald another exciting season of Greyhound Basketball.
