November 2012

On Thursday, November 29, students at Sloan-Hendrix conducted a lab modeling the process of Meiosis.  Students used yarn to demonstrate the production of gametes with half the normal number of chromosomes.
Spanish Classes held a Fiesta on November 20.

Jessie Powell was named All State in Cross Country.
Superintendent Mitch Walton helped serve up an early Thanksgiving feast in the school cafeteria on Thursday, November 15.
Eleven members of the SHHS Cross Country Team competed at Oaklawn in Hot Springs in the state cross country meet on Saturday, November 10.  Jessie Powell placed 8th out of 89.
