On Thursday, January 24, nineteen members of the Sloan-Hendrix chapter of Future Business Leaders of America attended the District II Spring Leadership Conference at Nettleton High School in Jonesboro.  Members listened to campaign speeches and watched the talent show while waiting for results from the competitive events.  Guest speaker for the event was Dr. Terry Roach from Arkansas State University.

Qualifying for state competition were Tahya Taffar, 2nd place, Introduction to Business; Eric Hill, 2nd place, Business Law; Nathan DeShazo, 3rd place, FBLA Principles and Procedures; Nicole Miles, 3rd place, Business Procedures; Kaitlin Briner, 4th place, Networking Concepts; Eunita Ames, 4th place, Personal Finance; Rebekah Swink, 5th place, Health Care Administration; and Haley Lingenfelter, 5th place, Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure.  Rebekah Swink also qualified for state in the talent show with her clogging routine.

Those members placing in the top ten were Alexis Kulick, 9th place, Accounting I; Chris Taylor, 7th place, Computer Problem Solving; Alissah Harris, 9th place, Cyber Security; Christian Capps, 9th place, Economics; Kyle Murphy, 7th place, Introduction to Business Communication; and Madison Luffman, 7th place, Introduction to Technology Concepts.
