Sixteen members of the Sloan-Hendrix Chapter of FFA attended the 85th Annual FFA National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.  They left early Tuesday, October 23 and returned Friday, October 26.  Members who attended included the FFA officers, and other members who were chosen to attend based upon their participation and behavior in FFA.  While at the convention, members listened to inspirational speaker and Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton, attended the Brantley Gilbert and The Band Perry concerts, went to the movies, and toured the Indianapolis Speedway and Museum.  They also attended a rodeo at the fair grounds, a light show, and enjoyed a lot of good food.  According to Eunita Ames, “Steak and Shakes hamburger with Frisco sauce is awesome.”  Ashley Ward said, “The rodeo was a definite highlight of the trip.”  The group was accompanied by FFA advisor Joe Wallis and Mr. John Thomison.
