The journalism students at Sloan-Hendrix enjoyed a day of exploring different mass media outlets in Jonesboro.  It began with a tour of the KAIT8 television studios.  The tour was led by Tori Shirley and consisted of visiting different areas throughout the studio.  The students were invited to sit in on an actual news planning meeting where the broadcast journalists decided which topics to air and what new stories to investigate.  Meeting Sarah Tipton and learning how to perform in front of a green screen was an extra highlight to the tour.  After lunch, the journalism students were offered a tour of the Arkansas Radio Broadcasting Studios. They observed several broadcast stations and got to meet radio personalities Terry Wood and Brandon Baxter.
