|The 2014 Digital Communications II class recently finished a
program of study in photography and photo editing using Photoshop.
The ten photos assigned were taken in the Digital Communications
Studio (AKA - the storage room across the hall). The students used a
blue screen backdrop, a Canon Rebel T1 DSLR camera, and professional
lights (borrowed from the co-op), a fan, music, and various props.
After taking dozens (in some cases, hundreds) of photographs, the
students "tweaked" the photos in Photoshop. New this year were the
"Story Shots" which, if successful, would cause the viewer to
immediately make up a story about the photo. Students in the
course later were each assigned a photo to write a story about.
