The 2014 Digital Communications II class recently finished a program of study in photography and photo editing using Photoshop. The ten photos assigned were taken in the Digital Communications Studio (AKA - the storage room across the hall). The students used a blue screen backdrop, a Canon Rebel T1 DSLR camera, and professional lights (borrowed from the co-op), a fan, music, and various props. After taking dozens (in some cases, hundreds) of photographs, the students "tweaked" the photos in Photoshop. New this year were the "Story Shots" which, if successful, would cause the viewer to immediately make up a story about the photo.  Students in the course later were each assigned a photo to write a story about.  If you have an interest in photography or graphic arts, consider signing up for Digital Communications.
