The 2015 Lawrence County Tournament was held on the campus of Hillcrest High School. On Saturday, January 31, the Sloan-Hendrix Lady Greyhounds faced the Hoxie Lady Mustangs. Sloan-Hendrix won and advanced to the finals of the tournament where they played Hillcrest Lady Screamin' Eagles. The Lady Eagles had defeated Sloan-Hendrix in December in a rather high-scoring ballgame. Both teams decided to play a more defensive game during the tournament. The Lady Greyhounds defeated the Lady Screamin' Eagles with a final score of 29-14. Coach Moore was proud of their efforts and had this to say about their win, “This group of girls did a great job in the championship game of being patient on offense and of contesting shots all night on defense. I can remember only one open shot that Hillcrest had the entire game and they are a great shooting team. I am proud of them for their championship.”  Sloan-Hendrix junior Bailey Bradley, was selected as player of the game.
On Thursday, February 5, the Sloan-Hendrix Junior Greyhounds faced Hillcrest. They won the game to advance to the finals on Saturday, February 7, where they faced the Walnut Ridge Bobcats. With the game tied, seventh grader Braden Brand was fouled at the buzzer. He stepped to the line and made his first shot for a Sloan-Hendrix win:  37-36.  Braden was selected as player of the game.
Coach Jeremy Cude had this to say about the junior high Greyhounds, "It was great to see the excitement from the boys and from all of those who were able to make it to the tournament. The boys played two great games to beat teams that we were a combined 0-5 against this season. It has been great to see their improvement in the last few weeks! Hopefully, that will continue for a few more years! Go Hounds!!!!"
The sixth grade boys were county runners-up on Friday night.
