The 90th annual Lawrence County Fair took place August 11-16, 2014.

The American Red Cross conducted a blood drive on the Sloan-Hendrix campus on Friday, August 29.  
 
 
 
First Day of School, August 18, 2014!
The first day assembly included remarks by Mr. Rorex and Mr. Moore and introductions of new teachers, Mr. Hudson and Mr. Cude.  Mrs. Dean presented 2013-2014 Academians to the Annual King, Kyle Murphy, and the Annual Queen, Tahya Taffar, and to SHHS librarian, Mrs. Parker, to whom the annual was dedicated.

Open house was held with a standing room only crowd on Tuesday, August 12.
Buses were ready to roll out of their new garage on the Sloan-Hendrix campus.

New High School Principal, Mr. Marty Moore, welcomed teachers back during a workshop on Wednesday, August 6.
