On Tuesday, May 19, 80 selected members of Sloan-Hendrix High School's student body traveled to Barnes and Noble in Jonesboro to shop for books.  Students that have read thirteen books this year got to go on the trip and received $15 to spend on books.  The more books they read, the more they got to spend.  Students also helped teachers pick out books for their classrooms.  This is the 3rd year for the program.  Following the shopping spree and of course, dining out, the students returned to campus armed with reading material for the summer.
