Make-A-Wish Donations
by Emily Luffman

After attending the Fall FBLA conference and being inspired by the many leaders there, the FBLA decided to help with a project to make a difference.  The Make-A-Wish Foundation is an organization that helps bring joy to children all across the world facing life threatening diseases and has granted wishes for Sloan-Hendrix students in the recent past.
On Thursday evening, November 5, members of the Sloan-Hendrix FBLA officer team took up donations for the Make-A-Wish Foundation during the Sloan-Hendrix/Viola basketball game.  Although the schools were playing against each other they came together for this great cause and gave over $400.
The Sloan-Hendrix FBLA would like to thank everyone who donated even the smallest amount.  Every donation makes a difference in a child’s life.  Each penny you donate is a penny more of joy you are giving a child who is in need of a bright moment in their lives.
The FBLA plans to take up donations again on December 17 at the Sloan-Hendrix Gymnasium when the Jr. Girls, Jr. Boys and Sr. Girls play Pocahontas High School.
