Drama Club Trip

Five student members of the JAG (Jobs for Arkansas Graduates) program attended the JAG Leadership Conference on Thursday, April 26 on the campus of UALR. The guest speaker was none other than Sydney Moncrief, who talked to the students about strengthening their soft skills in the work place. For the first activity, he stressed the importance of smiling, posture, a firm handshake, proper greeting, and conversation starters to gain a re pore with a potential employer. In another activity, the students spent about 15 minutes at different tables that went into more detail about specific soft skills needed in the workplace. Sydney dropped in at our students table during the "Teamwork" skill session. The kids did a great job of representing themselves and Sloan-Hendrix.  Mr. Ricky Grisham is the advisor for JAG.
