During the school year, Sloan-Hendrix Gifted and Talented students participated in fundraisers to collect money for “wish list” items for Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Students raised $1,122.89 through a cookbook project and blue jeans week for teachers. Students bought and packed 24 boxes with items for babies, teens, adults, and objects for therapy. They delivered the items to Arkansas Children's Hospital on May 15, 2018. This is the second year these students have been involved with this project. Students involved with the project include: Braden Cox, Harper Rorex, Cade Grisham, Carley Morgan, Chaney Johnson, Lily Morris, and Lakyn Phares. Not pictured: Dalton Cooper. Mrs. Melanie Stephens is the gifted and talented instructor.
