Sloan-Hendrix strives to educate students in a variety of ways, in and outside
of the classroom.  Teachers are constantly providing new, and interesting learning
experiences in the class and through club and organization activities.  This ensures
that Sloan-Hendrix is never a dull place.  There is always something happening on
campus at any given moment.  This page will be updated as often as possible to help

August 2018

Sloan-Hendrix staff and faculty members are rockin' their new "The Power of Yet" T-Shirts.  The Power of Yet is a concept based on the premise that we are all on a learning journey, and that just because you haven’t accomplished a task yet, does not mean that you cannot or should not try and certainly that you should not give up. By adding "Yet" to any negative statement (as in "I can't do it...Yet") we build a Growth Mindset that helps students believe in themselves and become more successful.  Check out the following YouTube videos:  Sesame Street Janelle Monae - Power of Yet and C.J. Luckey - The Power of Yet.
FBLA was among the clubs at Sloan-Hendrix that held their first meeting of the year on Tuesday, August 21.  Following an organizational meeting, FBLA sponsor Mrs. Holland led the club in a quick pick up of the gym parking lot which is their designated area to care for in the Adopt-A-Spot program.
